This website's aim is to provide high school teachers with the information to not only show them the realm of possibilities that the genre of Fantasy provides for the classroom, but also material to enable them to apply this in their own curriculum.
In the following pages, links to further reading in regards to young adult literature and Fantasy are provided, as well as worksheets that can be used with one's class.
On the other hand, while this website caters primarily to high school teachers (those whose teachable is English and/or History), a sub-section has been included for elementary teachers as well.
** Please note that Fantasy novels appropriate to be used in the classroom are not limited to the novels listed in the following sections. Moreover, the authors I have mentioned have written many more novels that could be used for projects/discussion/responses. However, these are the ones I am most comfortable with and have read the most. Therefore, I feel I have enough knowledge regarding the novels to recommend them to you here.
